I came to know about Acadient through one of my colleagues and I got lots of knowledge and practical guidance for my doctoral candidacy. My faculty members are excellent and their way of mentoring is very impressive and comfortable. They are always ready to help with thesis reviews, UGC and WES guidelines, and Scopus publication assistance. Truly grateful to the entire counseling desk!

Acadient’s Scopus Q1 journal publishing lab is genuinely the gold standard in India. They helped structure my oncology clinical research paper, coordinated directly with the European university senate, and managed thesis compilation without disrupting my hospital laboratory responsibilities. Conferred smoothly with complete apostille support.

Questions working professionals ask

Frequently asked questions

Can I do a PhD while working full-time?

Yes. Most of the candidates we guide are working engineers, pharmacy professionals, AYUSH practitioners and college faculty. Your advisor helps you plan coursework, supervisor meetings and research around your job. Coursework and contact-session requirements are set by the university, and we explain them clearly before you apply.

Do I have to leave my job or take long leave?

You do not need to resign. You may need some days off for the entrance test, interview, coursework sessions and the viva. We share the university’s schedule in advance so you can apply for leave in time.

Who is eligible?

Usually a relevant master’s degree with the minimum marks the university requires — for example M.Tech / M.E. for engineering, M.Pharm for pharmaceutical sciences, and a postgraduate degree in an AYUSH system for AYUSH subjects. Use “Check your eligibility” on this page and an advisor will confirm for your profile.

How does admission work? Is NET, GATE or GPAT required?

Admission is as per UGC PhD regulations: candidates usually take the university’s entrance test and interview. Candidates who have cleared UGC-NET / JRF, or a qualifying exam such as GATE or GPAT, may be exempt from the entrance test as per the university’s rules.

Which subjects can I choose?

Eight engineering areas — Computer & IT, Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical & Industrial, Civil & Infrastructure, Chemical & Materials, Aerospace & Marine, Energy & Environment, and Biomedical & Agricultural — plus Pharmaceutical Sciences and AYUSH & Integrative Health. See the full subject list in “Choose your research area” above.

How many hours a week will I need?

It varies by stage. Coursework months are busier; the research phase is steadier and depends on your study design. Your advisor helps you set a weekly plan that is realistic alongside your job.

Which university awards the degree?

The PhD is awarded by our partner university under UGC PhD regulations. Your advisor shares the university’s name, approvals and official documents during your free counselling call, so you can verify them yourself before you apply.

What are the fees?

Fees are set by the university and can change. Your advisor shares the university’s official fee schedule in writing before you apply.

Will Acadient write my thesis?

No. Your thesis and research are your own work, done under your university supervisor. We guide you through the admission process and help you plan, but we do not write theses or research papers.
